InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA- Forest Watch Indonesia (FWI) demostrated in the hall of Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial/National Land Agency (NLA). FWI thought, the Secretary, Sofyan Djalil should reveal the data of palm oil plantation Business License (BL) as what the Supreme Court decided.

“There are lots of program by President Joko Widodo, such as, agrarian reform and the Ministry deals with it. We don’t think the program runs well if the information is not revealed,” campaigner of FWI, Linda Rosalina, claimed when doing demonstration, Jakarta Selatan, last Monday, as quoted fromTempo.

She also said, if the data could be misused. The unrevealed data makes people get the effect in palm oil land conflict. She also mentioned, the areas in Kalimantan are in conflict for being fought over with the palm oil plantation. FWI could not defend them for there is no official and valid data.

The open data to the public would accelerate one map policy for the government. The natural resource management will be improved and it will know the nowadays condition.

Days before, in March 2017, Supreme Court sentence the claim of FWI and rejected the appeal of Ministry of Agrarian/NLA. But until now, she continued, the ministry never obeys and does the sentence to reveal the data. (T4)
