InfoSAWIT, PANGKALPINANG – To deliver information about product diversification in palm oil material to micro, small, medium businessmen (MSMB), Industry and Trade Agency Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) Province did technical training about product diversification in palm oil – base in Babel Province, Tuesday (19/6/2023) at Hotel Puncak Pangkalpinang.

The speakers were Mimin Aminah of IPB and Director of People’s Empowerment of IREEM, Gelar Satya Budhi.

In his speech, Head of Industry and Trade Agency Babel Province, Tarmin said palm oil downstream is the process to optimize derivative products of it to be having higher additional values, such as, for food sector (palm cooking oil, nutrition, chemical ingredients, and renewable energy.

“Downstream program and product diversification of palm oil industries are about to get additional value from raw material, reinforce industrial structures, provide works, and deliver business chances in Indonesia,” he said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of Industry and Trade Agency Babel Province, Wednesday (21/6/2023).

He continued, it is hoped the export commodities would not be materials, but in derivative products or products to increase the price and in the end, it would increase the revenue by having downstream industries.

He also thought, palm oil industries and product diversification are better, both in this country and in the world. This sector would be more strategic for having big chance to play the roles as the economic development motor nationally, revenue provider, and hire many workers.

“I hope by this technical training, product diversification from our palm oil would be in synergy to develop the future downstream industries, Amin,” he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Industrial Plan and Development, Subekti Saputra as the Chairman of the event said, the product training in palm oil material is about to get additional values from raw palm oil. The participants were 20 men from MSMB in the province. (T2)
