InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In the rcent days, three palm oil downstream producers, such as, Wilmar Group, Permata Hijau Group, and Musim Mas Group were sentenced to be the suspects of crude palm oil (CPO) export corruption assumption.

Head of Public Relation and Law, The Attorney, Ketut Sumedana said, for the second case, Supreme Court sentenced inkracht. “The investigators of the Attorney on the day sentenced 3 corporates as suspects,” he said to journalists, Thursday (16/5/2023).

Ketut Sumedana continued, they corporates are Wilmar Group, Permata Hijau Group, Musim Mas Group.

In 1932 Musim Mas developed soap factory, Nam Cheong. It was produced and distributed locally and internationally.

“Our first business was simple and it was the achievement of our hard work that gave us result for some decades of our dedicated workers,” Musim Mas quoted as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of the company.

1970 to 2004 was the golden era for Musim Mas for running palm oil business and palm oil factory, plantation, palm kernel mill, and factory investment in the period. PT Musim Mas started developing and got award ‘Primaniyarta’ as one non-oil exporter with the highest performance that Ministry of Trade handed over.

One significant moment happened in 2004 when the company become the first as Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Chairman of Musim Mas was the first Executive Board of RSPO. (T2)
