InfoSAWIT, JAKAARTA - Sterol is the compound found in vegetable oil, including palm oil. Crude palm oil (CPO) consists of some kinds of sterol, such as, β-sitosterol, campesterol, and stigmasterol. Sterol concentration in CPO can be varied, depends on some factors, such as, the seeds, extraction, and environment circumstance where palm oil grows.

The goal is to qualify and increase smallholders’ competency in palm oil plantations in Indonesia.
