InfoSAWIT, PALEMBANG – Deputy Assistant of Investment in Service, Coordinator Ministry in Maritime and Investment, Fara Heliantinamm said that palm oil taskforce identified some companies that did not qualify their obligation, such as, getting business rights, and realizing fasilitas pembangunan kebun masyarakat (FPKM). Data from Sistim Informasi Perijinan Perkebunan (Siperibun) showed that 537 companies did not get business permit even though they should get it since 2016 for plantation activity.

Samenun, a smallholder from Sub district of Gedangan said, FFB price would be a loss for them. He thought, FFB selling price that the government decided at about Rp 3 thousand per kilogram, but the company just paid Rp 1 thousand per kilogram.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – 32 civil organizations in the globe sent public documents to Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), and urged the non-profit organization in sustainable palm oil industries to postpone the membership for Astra Agro Lestari (AALI), the second biggest palm oil company in Indonesia. They urged it after two weeks prior, Astra Agro announced that the company officially proposed to be RSPO member and it was written by ‘the full support’ statement from RSPO itself.
