InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – To prepare skillful human resources for the youth and to get palm oil cultivation practices, Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS) encouraged them who graduated from high schools in many palm oil plantation centers to register and get scholarship that Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) would provide.

The program would be for the former students that got achievements and would continue their education to college and university. They could study in cultivation and palm oil management subjects. The selection process would be by registering to PFMA and would be helped by SPKS secretariat in palm oil plantation centers.

Chairman of SPKS, Sabarudin said the organization involves to encourage the youth to actively work in palm oil plantations in their region. By having education in palm oil sectors, it is hoped they would get knowledge and insight to responsibly and sustainably cultivate the plantations in the future.

“We hope the young generations as the future ones would cultivate palm oil plantations in Indonesia sustainably,” Sabarudin said to InfoSAWIT, Saturday (27/4/2024). Sustainable and best cultivation in smallholders’ practices would make the plantations be more productive and escalating their welfare.

He also mentioned the scholarship registration would be from many regions in Indonesia as the next generations. That is why SPKS actively invites the parents who work as smallholders to register their children to get the scholarship which would be available from on 5 April to 24 May 2024.

SPKS secretariat would be pleasant to help the registration in many islands in Indonesia.

“Hopefully, young generations’ involvement would make others get the economic progress which derives from palm oil (sectors),” Sabarudin said. (T1)
