InfoSAWIT, SIAK – Wilmar has conducted concrete things by developing independent smallholders in Regency of Siak, Riau Province so that they would get Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certificate. This is part of jurisdiction approach in the regency by involving five palm oil unions. Through multi-stakeholder collaboration that Regency of Siak initiated, Wilmar hoped to help the independent smallholders to escalate their ability to realize sustainability.

InfoSAWIT, KENDARI – To escalate palm oil plantation productivity and smallholders’ welfare in West Sulawesi Province, Plantation Agency West Sulawesi did significant cooperation with General Directorate of Plantation Ministry of Agriculture about smallholders replanting program (SRP) fund support in 2024.

The latest was that the launching of Saji – one kind of palm cooking oil within Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) logo. It was launched by Minister of Commodity and Plantation, Malaysia, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani in Aeon Big Wangsa Maju.

InfoSAWIT, KONAWE UTARA – Regent of Konawe Utara, Ruksamin said that palm oil plantations in the regency laid about 23.850 hectares in 2023. The government’s plantations laid about 4.455 hectares; big plantation companies/plasma laid about 13.359 hectares, and independent smallholders’ plantations laid about 6.036 hectares.

InfoSAWIT, JAMBI - Eversince the ‘Perkebunan Inti Rakyat (PIR) Transmigrasi’ was developed in 1983/1984, palm oil plantation was introduced to the villagers. The government did the cooperation between the smallholders and the plantation companies. The villagers were as the plasma of the companies, and the companies could strengthen the villagers to do their business.

Not only companies, but also the people independently develop their palm oil plantations. Plantation Agency Regency of Konawe Utara mentioned, there have been about 7.000 hectares palm oil plantations belonging to independent smallholders. They face issues to develop theirs.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) tender at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was Rp 12.660/kg on Friday (8/3/2024). It means it got better Rp 65/kg or about 0,52% to Thursday (7/3/2024) tender that was Rp 12.595/kg.

InfoSAWIT, NORTH ACEH - Koperasi Berkat Bunga Damai Cotgirek in Regency of North Aceh launched a training program to escalate its members’ capacity. It was running on the smallholders’ plantations and attended by about 30 members from three different villages, such as, Cotgirek, Seureuke, and Lubok Pusaka in Sub district of Cotgirek, Langkahan, North Aceh.
