InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom Withdraw (WD) recorded the highest offer at Rp. 14,008/kg on Wednesday (January 8, 2025), marking a decline of 1.05% or a decrease of approximately Rp 149/kg compared to the CPO price on Tuesday (January 7, 2025), which reached Rp. 14,157/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO price in Franco Dumai opened at Rp. 14,069/kg and experienced a withdrawal (WD) with the highest offer at Rp 14,008/kg. The CPO price in Teluk Bayur opened at Rp. 13,939/kg and also saw a withdrawal (WD) with the highest offer at Rp 13,850/kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, palm oil futures prices on the Malaysian Exchange fell on Wednesday (January 8, 2025), reversing previous gains due to export demand issues and uncertainty regarding Indonesia's biodiesel mandate.

The March 2025 palm oil futures contract (FCPOC3) on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange dropped RM 32 per ton or approximately 0.73%, settling at 4,333 ringgit ($963.53) per metric ton during the midday break.

Palm oil prices slipped as the market continued to grapple with export issues, according to a trader based in Kuala Lumpur. The most active soyoil contract in Dalian (DBYCV1) fell by 0.29%, while the palm oil contract (DCPCV1) added 0.82%. Soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) (BOCV1) rose by 0.7%.
