InfoSAWIT, SEKADAU – Regent of Sekadau, Aron attended Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification training in the hall of SMK Negeri Sekadau, Monday (23/9/2024). It was about to increase the planters’ insight about sustainable practices in plantation sectors.
In the chance, he also handed over 171.000 palm oil seeds for the planters. The helps were part of the regional government to support the people’s economy in plantation sectors. Aron said that the seeds should positively deliver impacts to welfare them in the long period.
“The seeds would be part of IP3K program that Regency of Sekadau initiated. We do hope the helps would be the modal for the planters to increase their plantation productivity and products,” he said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from SuaraIndo.id, Wednesday (25/9/2024).
IP3K program that would focus on developing infrastructure, plantation, agriculture, and fishery, is the mainstay program of the regency. Aron emphasized the regional government would always confirm the sustainability and success of the program there.
“The Regency of Sekadau would do improvement in many regions where they need to confirm that IP3K program would be running well and delivering real advatnages for the people,” he said,
He hoped ISPO certification training would also increase the planters’ knowledge about sustainable palm oil practices for this would be significant to face the plantation challenges in the future.
“Hopefully, the training would deliver advantages and develop your insight, and knowledge about better and more sustainable plantation practices,” he said.
The training was joined by some planters’ groups and they would be committed to implement the environmental palm oil plantation practices and be as standards as the sustainability regulation. (T2)
