InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Ministry of Finance Indonesian Republic officially published the Regulation of Minister of Finance (RMF) Number 62 / 2024 about Tariff Service in Public Service Obligation – Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PO PFMA).
One main point in the regulation is the decreasing export duties for palm oil products that was progressively running as crude palm oil (CPO) price was.
In the regulation that InfoSAWIT read, Friday (20/9/2024), CPO export citation that was adjustable with the decreasing or increasing CPO price globally, is still available but with the clearer tariff group based on the product categories and CPO price category.
For the comparison, RMF Number 154 / 2022 grouped the tariff based on the CPO price gap with the citatio about from US$ 85 to US$ 240 per ton or depended on CPO price globally and the group about US$ 800 – US$ 1.430 per ton.
But from 11 September 2024, as it is regulated in the RMF Number 62, the citation system would not be progressive anymore. As the substitution, the tariff would be based on the percentage of CPO reference price that Ministry of Trade decided.
Here Are The Details of Export Citation (Duties) based on Product Groups:
Group I, fresh fruit bunch would be charged 0%; palm kernel and palm fruit would be charged 25%, palm kernel expeller/palm kernel meal would be 25%; palm empty fruit bunch would be 15%; palm kernel shell would be 3%.
Group II, crude palm oil/ including low free fatty acid crude palm oil, crude palm kernel oil, palm oil mill effluent oil, empty fruit bunch oil, high acid palm oil residue would be 7,5% from CPO reference price.
Group III, crude palm olein, crude palm stearin, crude palm kernel olein, crude palm kernel stearin, palm fatty acid distillate, and palm kernel fatty acid distillate, would be 6% from CPO reference price.
Group IV that covers products, such as, refined bleached and deodorized (RBD) palm olein, RBD palm oil, RBD palm stearin, and RBD palm kernel olein would be 4,5% from CPO reference price.
Group V, RBD palm olein in branded packages with the net weigh ≤ 25 kg, biodiesel, and fatty acid methyl ester would be charged 3% from CPO reference price. (T2)
