Asian Agri Has Developed Digital Roadmap

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Asian Agri, one big palm oil plantation company in Sumatera keeps transforming by implementing digital technology significantly. The innovation would reinforce the sustainable operation from the upstream to downstream sectors, deliver the positive for the productivity, efficiency, and be environmentally responsible. Besides as one leader in (palm oil) industry, Asian Agri and Apical play their key roles to encourage the company.

Asian Agri started its digital journeys by launching Asian Agri Connected Plantation in 2016. It was followed up by launching Asian Agri Connected Mill in 2019. The initiative would be about to create additional values in the business, escalate quality, productivity, and minimize the costs competitively.

Deputy Head of Digital Transformation Asian Agri, Marjan Purba said that the digital transformation would escalate operational discipline and integration in the field and would get more qualified work and accurate data transparently.

“Digital transformation in palm oil plantations would escalate operational discipline and integration in the field. This would get more qualified work, accurate, transparent, faster data and decision making would be right on targets,” Purba said in an event that Asian Agri and Apical conducted and attended by InfoSAWIT.

In the Roadmap Palm Upstream Digital Ecosystem, Asian Agri prepared digitalization concept from the plantations to the mills. Through ‘connected plantation’, the company integrated the cultivation process from the planting, nursery, water management, harvest, evacuation, and implemented ‘aerial imaging’ and ‘precision agri’.
